Road crash near Beauly affects power line

A one-vehicle crash has taken down part of a power line in the Black Isle near Inverness.

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene on the A862 at Teawig, near Beauly, at about 12:10.

The road has been closed between the Lovat Bridge junction with the A831 and Beauly Railway Station.

Police said the road could remain closed for up to five hours. Diversions have been put in place and the station can still be reached from Beauly.

Police have given no details at this stage on whether anyone has been injured in the crash.
