Plan for HMO in Inverness secures licence

An application for a licence for bedsits for the homeless in Inverness has been approved by Highland councillors.

City Apartments and Highland Homeless Trust propose changing a large house in Glenurquhart Road into a house of multiple occupancy (HMO).

The plan was given the go ahead by Highland Council's planning committee in February. A licence was then sought.

An earlier application for a licence was withdrawn in May.

This was because of a technical issue with paperwork.
