Police appeal after woman assaulted in Inverness

Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in a wooded area near King Duncan's Road in Inverness.

A member of the public alerted the emergency services at about 20:30 on Saturday after becoming concerned about the woman's safety.

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland or Crimestoppers.
