Arbroath man accused of child murder bid in Aviemore

An Arbroath man has been charged with attempting to murder a seven-year-old girl in Aviemore nine years ago.

Geoffrey Garden was also charged with assaulting a boy and a girl, both under the age of seven, between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2004 in Arbroath.

The 38-year-old appeared in private on petition at Inverness Sheriff Court.

He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
