Fisherman dies after falling from boat off Summer Isles

A 36-year-old fisherman has died after falling from a creel boat off the Summer Isles in Wester Ross.
The man was one of two people aboard a Loch Ewe-based boat when the accident happened at about 10:40 on Tuesday.
The Ullapool to Stornoway ferry, the MV Isle of Lewis, was among a group of boats that searched for the man.
He was recovered from the water by his colleague and airlifted by Stornoway Coastguard helicopter to Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway.
Police Scotland confirmed that the man had died and next of kin had been informed. The fisherman has not been named yet.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch, police and coastguard will investigate the incident near Tanera Beag.
