A woman who died when her car went into the Caledonian Canal in Lochaber has been named by police.

Sheila Cameron, 65, from Banavie, Fort William, was taken to hospital after pulled out of the canal at Banavie's Neptune's Staircase locks, on Wednesday afternoon.

Her car was later found by police divers and lifted out of the canal.

Police said a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.
