Second man charged over Paddy Power armed robbery

A second man has appeared in court in connection with an armed robbery at a betting shop in Inverness.

Scott Longden, 31, from Inverness, was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice when he appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court.

The charges related to an armed robbery at the Paddy Power bookmakers in the city's Queensgate on 30 March.

Last week Karl Jones, from Liverpool, was charged with assault and robbery involving a firearm.

Mr Longden made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

He was also charged under the Misuse of Drugs act.

His arrest followed a police raid, involving firearms officers, on a property at Woodside Brae, Westhill, Inverness on Friday.
