Man taken to hospital in Glasgow after Skye crash

A man has been seriously injured after his car left a road on Skye in the early hours of Sunday.
The 38-year old local man was the sole occupant of a blue Ford Mondeo which came off the A87 Portree to Uig road at about 01:15.
He was airlifted to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.
The road remained closed for seven and a half hours while police investigated the cause of the accident. No other vehicle was involved.
