Climber injured in avalanche on Ben Nevis

A climber has been injured in an avalanche on Ben Nevis.

Police Scotland said the man was close to Number Four Gully on the mountain when the snow slide happened at about 11:30.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team and an RAF helicopter and mountain rescue team went to his aid.

The man has been taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William. Three people who were with him have been traced and were uninjured.
