Walkers uninjured after '900m slide' near Ben Nevis

Two walkers have escaped after sliding off a ridge near Ben Nevis in Lochaber.

The pair may have slid as far as 900m (2,952ft) down Carn Mor Dearg, according to reports received by Police Scotland.

A spokesman said police were alerted to the stricken walkers at 11:54.

He said they were unhurt and had indicated that they were able to make their own way to safety following the incident.
