Inverness Floral Hall to be rebranded as botanic gardens
Inverness's Floral Hall is to be rebranded and revamped as part of efforts to double visitor numbers over the next three years.
The building's name is to change to Inverness Botanic Gardens.
The hall was opened in its current form - which includes glasshouses with tropical plans and also a coffee shop - in 1993.
Highland Council has agreed to contribute towards the £100,000 cost of the improvements.
Admission charges have already been dropped at the hall, which sits in the walled garden of a former stately home at Bught Park, to encourage more visits.
