Decision deferred on 13-turbine farm in Sutherland

Highland councillors have deferred taking a decision on proposals for a 13-turbine wind farm in Sutherland.

The north planning applications committee will visit the site near Rogart before taking a vote on whether to grant permission to the project.

Wind Prospect Developments' plans for the farm, about a mile west of Craggiemore, have drawn 29 objections.

Concerns have been raised about the farm's impact on tourism, peat and a lack of grid capacity in the area.

Council planning officials have recommended that councillors grant planning consent.
