Man who died in accident in lay-by near Dingwall named

A man who died after an accident involving his vehicle in a lay-by near Dingwall in the Highlands has been named by police.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the A835 Ullapool to Tore Road at Leanaig at about 18:30 on Tuesday.

It was found that Marko Srsen, 44, had died at the scene.

Mr Srsen had moved to Scotland from Croatia several years ago and was living in Inverness.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw his blue Ford Ranger parked in a lay by on the A835 near the Maryburgh roundabout.

The A835 was closed for more than three hours while investigations were carried out.
