What has been described as Scotland's first guidebook to off-piste skiing and snowboarding has been published.

Written by Kenny Biggin, it will be officially launched at Nevis Range in Lochaber.

The book - Scottish Offpiste Skiing and Snowboarding: Nevis Range and Ben Nevis - has descriptions, diagrams and photographs of "back country" routes.

Off-piste skiing and snowboarding is done away from ski centre runs, tows and lifts.

The book's launch comes just days after Scotland's latest ski season started at CairnGorm Mountain near Aviemore.
