Crews deal with Castle Street fire in Inverness

Emergency crews have been dealing with a fire at a derelict building in the Castle Street area of Inverness.

Police Scotland said buildings in the area had been evacuated as a precaution on Friday evening and building safety would need to be assessed.

Police and firefighters were at the scene and Castle Street and Bridge Street were closed off.

Officers asked members of the public to avoid the area while the incident was ongoing.
