Approval suggested for three Caithness wind farms

Councillors are to consider plans for wind farms proposed for Caithness.

Scottish Power Renewables wants to build 15 turbines at Halsary Forest, Watten. It had originally proposed 18.

RWE Npower Renewables has plans for 13 turbines at Bad a Cheo, Spittal, and Whirlwind Renewables five at West of Mybster Farm, Spittal.

Highland Council officials have recommended that next Monday's north planning applications committee grant the applications.

Councillors are to visit the proposed sites before meeting later to discuss the projects.
