A woman has died following a fire at a house in Inverness.

Three fire appliances, police officers and an ambulance crew were called to the scene in Leyton Drive in the city's Hilton area.

Police Scotland said the alarm was raised by a member of the public at about 07:45 on Tuesday.

Three neighbouring properties were evacuated while firefighters tackled the blaze. Police Scotland said none of the four people involved were hurt.
