Bad weather delays end of Kessock Bridge road works

Bad weather has delayed the completion of work to upgrade part of the Kessock Bridge until the end of this month.

The work to upgrade the northbound carriageway of the crossing at Inverness started in February and was due to finish on 3 June.

Bad weather, which included high winds in April, has pushed the date back to 30 June.

Work to upgrade the southbound carriageway will be carried out next year.

Once completed, Transport Scotland has said that no further major work should be required for 30 years.
