Wind and technical fault hit Caledonian MacBrayne ferry sailings
High winds and a technical fault have disrupted ferry sailings between the mainland and the Western Isles.
The morning Oban to Castlebay and Lochboisdale service was cancelled because of the weather conditions.
Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne said the ferry was expected to depart Oban at 16:15.
A fault has hit the ferry MV Hebrides, which sails on the Uig to Tarbert route. Passengers have been diverted to the Ullapool-Stornoway service.
Last week, two other ferries were temporarily withdrawn from service.
An engine problem had affected the MV Isle of Lewis which serves the Stornoway to Ullapool route.
Earlier in the week, services between Oban and the Hebrides were disrupted when the MV Lord of the Isles was withdrawn from service after six members of its crew fell ill.
