Search for missing journalist Clive Dennier scaled down

The search for missing journalist Clive Dennier in the Western Highlands is being scaled down, police have said.

Police dog patrols and the voluntary air service Skywatch will continue with the search, but the coastguard and RAF teams are no longer involved.

The alarm was raised when Mr Dennier, 50, failed to turn up for work at the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald last Monday.

He had spoken of going hillwalking the previous weekend.

His car was found at Kinlochourn on Friday.

Over the weekend, mountain rescue teams were joined by Mr Dennier's brother-in-law as they carried out an intensive search of the Knoydart area, near to where his car was found.
