Highland derby: County fans urged to cycle or take public transport

Ross County Ross County will travel to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday

Ross County fans are being encouraged to car share, cycle or take public transport to the Highland derby because of Kessock Bridge roadworks.

The Staggies travel to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.

Crossing the A9's Kessock Bridge has been disrupted by work to upgrade its surface. The roadworks will be in place until June.

Contractor Scotland Transerv said cycling to the game or using buses or the the train would make travel easier.

Bus operator Stagecoach will offer a discounted day return ticket for travel from Dingwall, Maryburgh, Conon Bridge and Muir of Ord into Inverness on Saturday.

The service will run every half hour from the usual bus stops.
