Global Energy takes over iFAB in Invergordon
Global Energy has taken over the firm from the Port Services Group
Easter Ross fabrication business iFAB has been bought over by the owners of the Nigg Energy Park.
Global Energy has taken over the firm from logistics company Port Services Group.
The deal secures the future of all jobs at iFAB's Invergordon site and raises the potential for new posts, Global Energy said.
It added that iFAB was regarded as the UK's largest manufacturer of subsea equipment.
Global Energy chairman Roy MacGregor said the deal had been the subject of discussions with Port Services for some time.
He added: "The additional facilities along the Cromarty Firth will further strengthen our capability and compliments our existing plans with Nigg Energy Park."
