Inverness £16m flood scheme completed

A £16m construction project started in 2010 to protect 600 homes at risk of flooding on the south side of Inverness has been completed.

The Inverness South West Flood Relief Scheme has been designed to divert flood water away from Culduthel, Lochardil, Drummond and Hilton.

Highland Council is also having a scheme built to protect 1,000 properties in Inverness city centre.

The River Ness Flood Alleviation Scheme costs £24.75m.
