Disney-Pixar's Brave was named best animated feature at the Golden Globes film awards.

The animation about a Scottish princess beat Frankenweenie, Rise of the Guardians, Wreck It Ralph and Hotel Transylvania to take the honour.

Brave has also been nominated for an Oscar and a Bafta.

It features the voices of Kelly Macdonald and Billy Connolly. The film's score includes songs performed by Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis.

Pixar writers and artists visited the Highlands, Argyll and the Western Isles to research Brave's story and animation.
