Body found in search for missing Cuillins walker

Rescue teams have found a body during the search for a 60-year-old walker reported missing in the Cuillin Hills in Skye.

The alarm was raised on Thursday when a member of the public reported seeing a man fall at Glenbrittle.

Police, RAF and mountain rescue teams were involved in efforts to locate the man, believed to be a walking guide.

Northern Constabulary said a body was found at about 11:00 on Saturday.

Weather conditions during the hunt had been described as "difficult" with low cloud and freezing temperatures.
