Body of missing Ross-shire man David Mackay man is identified

A body found in Ross-shire has been indentified as a missing 21-year-old man.

David Mackay, of Alness, had gone missing from outside the Duthac Centre, a leisure and recreation centre in Tain, early on Saturday.

Personnel from RAF and Dundonnel mountain rescue teams had been called in.

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said it was an "exceptionally difficult time" for Mr Mackay's relatives.

Mr Mackay had been attending a local rugby club dance.
