Dobbies Garden Centres has said that 120 jobs will be created at a new shop that has been granted planning permission for a site in Inverness.

The £5m garden centre in a former Focus DIY store at the city's Inshes Retail Park could open next spring.

It will be the first in Scotland to share a customer entrance with a Tesco supermarket.

Dobbies is part of the Tesco Group and there is a supermarket already at the Inverness site.

Highland councillors granted planning permission for the garden centre.

Dobbies said the new jobs would be a mixture of full-time and part-time positions.
