Polar bears Walker and Arktos celebrate their birthdays with frozen fish goodies at Highland Wildlife Centre

Staff at a Scottish wildlife park have been marking the birthdays of the site's two polar bears.

Walker is four while Arktos is five. The male bears share an enclosure at the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig, near Aviemore.

Their keepers marked the birthdays, which are only a few days apart, by throwing ice blocks containing fish into their snow covered enclosure.

Last month, Arktos had root canal done to a sore tooth.

The bears were introduced to each other in April.

The long-term plan is for Walker to be paired with a mate.
