The search for a wildlife photographer who went missing after leaving his home in the Highlands has been called off for the night, police have confirmed.

Gordon Dawson, from Teannassie in Beauly, was last seen at his home last week.

Photography equipment thought to belong to the 61-year-old has been found at Aigas Dam.

Police said the search, which involved members of the Red Cross water search team, would resume on Thursday.

Mr Dawson is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build, with a shaved head.
