A 61-year-old man has gone missing after leaving his home in the Highlands to photograph wildlife.

Police said the man was last seen at his home close to Aigas, near Beauly, last week.

Photography equipment thought to belong to him has been found at Aigas Dam, police said.

Northern Constabulary said its officers and members of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team were making extensive searches of the area.

The man was described as 5ft 10in, of medium build, with a shaved head.
