Woman injured in knife robbery in Caol near Fort William

A shop keeper has been injured in a knife-point robbery at a business in Lochaber.

Police said a man armed with a knife threatened and assaulted the woman, who is in her 60s, on Thursday.

The incident at Togs in Caol, near Fort William, happened at about 17:30. A quantity of money was stolen.

The man was described as being white, about 5ft 10in to 6ft, large build and wearing a blue fleece, dark coloured trousers and a beanie hat.

The woman was treated by ambulance staff at the scene and taken to hospital, before later being released.

Northern Constabulary said the man was last seen walking quickly, or running, in the Glenloy Street area.
