Missing hillwalker found after Cairngorms search

A hillwalker who called police lost and disorientated in the Highlands on Thursday afternoon, has been found.

Cairngorm and Braemar mountain rescue teams were involved in efforts to trace the missing man.

Northern Constabulary co-ordinated the search, which straddled the Northern and Grampian force boundaries.

A police spokesman said the alarm was raised when they received the call at about 15:30 on Thursday afternoon but that the man has now been found.
