Court escape prisoner Michael Davidson detained by police

A remand prisoner has been traced after he escaped through the window of a court in the Highlands.

Michael Davidson, 27, of Invergordon, had been appearing at Tain Sheriff Court at the end of last month.

He is facing charges including assault, attempting to defeat the ends of justice and careless driving.

Northern Constabulary said Mr Davidson was detained at a house in Alness at about 04:30 on Wednesday. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
