A 51-year-old man has appeared in court following an assault in North Uist, in the Western Isles, last week.
Robert Wilson, of Bayhead, North Uist, appeared in private at Stornoway Sheriff Court. He was charged with assault to severe injury.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
A 50-year-old man has received hospital treatment for serious injuries to his face following the incident in Lochmaddy on Friday.
