A group of seven people have celebrated a forthcoming wedding by sitting down to a three course meal on top of a Scottish hill.

The group, some dressed in kilts, carried a table and chairs on the climb to Quiraing - the Table - near Staffin, on the Isle of Skye.

Bob Gray, from near Lanark, will marry Eve Docherty in April next year.

His friends travelled from where they stay in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Sweden for the dinner in the mist.

Colin Baird, the best man, said: "We enjoyed a tough climb and then a very tasty meal, before an interesting but safe descent."

Images from the climb-and-dine have been uploaded on a photograph sharing site and viewed more than seven million times so far.
