Drug paraphernalia shop raided after RockNess death

Alex Herriot Alex Heriot failed to respond to treatment at Raigmore Hospital

Police in Edinburgh have raided a drug paraphernalia shop after a teenager from the capital died at the RockNess festival.

Alex Heriot, 19, from Portobello, collapsed and died on Saturday at the event near Inverness. It is believed he had taken the legal high Benzo Fury.

Detectives from Lothian and Borders Police removed a number of items from Apothecary's premises on Clerk Street.

The force said it was helping Northern Constabulary with its investigation.

Mr Heriot was taken to Raigmore Hospital, but failed to respond to treatment.

Two other people, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were also being treated in hospital after taking so-called "legal highs" at the festival.
