Wards at two Highland hospitals shut by sickness

NHS Highland has shut two hospital wards amid concerns about patients and staff being affected by the winter vomiting bug.

Ten patients and 10 staff have fallen ill at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where ward 2A has been closed to new admissions.

At Caithness General Hospital in Wick, the Rosebank Ward was closed after five patients and seven staff were affected.

Norovirus is thought to be the possible cause of the sickness.
