Biker from West Yorkshire dies following crash in Highlands

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a van on the A86 five miles east of Roy Bridge in Lochaber.

Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene at about 18:25 on Tuesday.

Daren Lassey, 42, from West Yorkshire, was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William, where he died from his injuries.

The section of road was shut for 18 hours to allow police to investigate the scene.
