Public inquiry into Invergordon incinerator proposal

A public inquiry is to be held into plans for a £43m waste incinerator in Invergordon, Easter Ross.

A Scottish government-appointed official set the inquiry date for 6 June.

The reporter met the project's developer, Combined Power and Heat (Highlands) Ltd, and opponents of the plans on Tuesday.

The government gave the proposals planning permission in 2010, but Ross Estates appealed against the approval.
