Highland councillors choose Inverness West Link route
Highland councillors have approved a preferred route for a planned new road to ease congestion in Inverness city centre.
A cross-party working group had suggested that a £27.2m option for the West Link be adopted by Highland Council.
Option six of eight suggested routes for the road, it would cross the River Ness and Caledonian Canal.
Inverness Chamber of Commerce has given its backing to option six.
The full council considered the proposal at a meeting in Inverness.
