Second-hand vans could replace rented mobile libraries to help a local authority save money.

Agreements on four library vehicles leased by Highland Council will end at the end of this financial year.

Officers have suggested replacing two of the vehicles with second-hand ones which would be bought for a total cost of £177,000 and last for 10 years.

The leases on the two other mobile libraries could be extended, or renewed.
