A 300-mile (483km) sea kayaking expedition along Scotland's west coast is the only UK entry in a US magazine's list of 50 Tours of a Lifetime.

The National Geographic Traveler magazine placed the guided trip alongside trekking in Tibet and rafting in the Grand Canyon.

Wilderness Scotland's trip follows part of the Scottish Sea Kayaking Trail from Loch Linnhe to the Sound of Arisaig.

It is one of only 11 European entries on the list.

National Geographic's Margaret Loftus said the rugged, sparsely populated west Highland coast was prime kayaking country.

She added: "This guided trip shows off the highlights of the 300-mile Scottish Sea Kayak Trail, from Loch Linnhe to the beach-fringed islands of the Sound of Arisaig, teeming with seals, otters, dolphins, minke whales, and basking sharks."
