University of the Highlands and Islands in Gaelic plan

The prospective University of the Highlands and Islands has said it is the first higher education institution to publish a Gaelic language plan.

Its objectives include offering learning opportunities to UHI staff, students and the public.

Greetings in Gaelic and English are also to be given at the reception desk of the organisation's executive office in Inverness.

The plan also commits to bi-lingual signs and internet services.
