Motorcyclist critical after crash with car on A83

A motorcyclist has been critically injured in a head-on crash with a car on the A83 in Argyll.

Police Scotland said the crash happened between Cairndow and Inveraray, close to the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, at about 13:05 on Tuesday.

The injured motorcyclist was airlifted to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. The car driver was uninjured.

A contra-flow is in place on the A83 and delays are to be expected.

Police said inquiries into the crash were ongoing.
