Three charged with murder over death of Scott McGuire

Three people have appeared in court charged with murdering a man whose body was found in the River Clyde.

James Knox, 39, Kevin Caughey, 32, and Margaret McKellar, 30, allegedly killed Scott McGuire, on 8 July at the South Portland suspension bridge in Glasgow.

They are accused of punching Mr McGuire, 41, striking him on the head and body with a bladed implement and pushing him into the river.

No pleas were made and all three were remanded in custody.

Mr Knox is from the Gorbals area of Glasgow, Mr Caughey is from the Gallowgate area and Ms McKellar is from Baillieston.

They appeared at Glasgow Sherriff Court and are expected to appear again next week for a full committal hearing.

Mr McGuire was thought to have been sleeping rough in the area.
