Two hurt as campervan goes down embankment in Argyll

Two people have been injured after a campervan left the road and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.

Emergency services were called to the scene, at Southend on the Kintyre peninsula, at about 11:00.

The female passenger was treated at the scene for minor injuries but the male driver sustained a serious head wound and was trapped by the steering wheel.

He was freed and flown by air ambulance to Causeway Hospital at Coleraine in Northern Ireland.
