Scottish Water has completed a £1.9m project to minimise the risk of flooding in the north west of Glasgow.

The firm installed a combined sewer overflow on its waste network after recurring flooding affected 62 homes around Shafton Road in the Temple area.

The work, which took six months, will prevent water levels in the sewer overflowing during heavy rainfall.

Scottish Water previously said 27 homes had been affected by internal flooding and 35 by external flooding.
