Two men injured after van hits South Lanarkshire house

Two men have been injured after the van they were travelling in left the road and hit a house in South Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Lanark Road, Crossford, shortly before 18:00 on Wednesday.

The male passenger in the van managed to get out of the vehicle while the driver had to be cut free. Both men were taken to Wishaw General Hospital.

No-one was in the house at the time of the crash. The road was closed during the rescue operation.
