Drugs man Paul Greenhalgh kept £9,000 cash in Weetabix box

A 38-year-old man faces a lengthy prison sentence after being caught with £70,000 of heroin and £9,000 of cash stuffed inside a Weetabix box.

Paul Greenhalgh's car was stopped by police on the M74 near Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, in February.

As well as the class A drug and boxed cash, officers found another £4,900.

At the High Court in Glasgow, he admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin. Sentence was deferred and Greenhalgh was remanded in custody.
