Man, 42, arrested over £2m heroin haul in Glasgow

A 42-year-old man has been arrested after a suspected heroin haul worth more than £2m was recovered in Glasgow.

Police acting on information arrested the man in Doncaster Street, close to Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium, at about 19:30 on Monday.

He was allegedly in possession of 31 kilos of the Class A drug.

The 42-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal. He is expected to appear from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
